UXO information

BLU-26/B is designed to explode on impact; armed by spinning 100s of times mid-air

HOWEVER, unless positively identified, assume it is a BLU-59/B or BLU-36/B with a random delay fuze.

There are no external features to distinguish the BLU-26/B from a BLU-36/B, -59/B, -63B or -86/B.

* 4 hour waiting time before approaching a BLU-59/B or BLU-36/B

* An armed bombie can detonate if dropped 25mm (1.00 inch)

*** Do not disturb as a bombie with random delay fuze (BLU- 59/B & BLU-36/B) may explode

*** Do not drop, jar or strike any air-dropped or damaged UXO

*** Do not toss the UXO as additional rotation may cause the UXO to become armed

BLU-3/B is designed to explode on impact. (Has distinctive “leaves” like a pineapple)

WARNINGS:

*** Do not drop, jar or strike an air-dropped or damaged bombie.

*** Do not exert pressure on the safety pin (if present)

*** Do not move the end cap

BLU-54/B is triggered via 8 hair-thin trip wires

WARNING:

* Self-Destruct time 50 days (but the UXO may fail to self-destruct)

* 75 day wait time (1,800 hours) before approaching

*** Dispose of only remotely; disturbing a trip line could cause the bombie to explode
