MISSION STATEMENT
UXO Clearance Laos is working to heighten world awareness thru our documentary, “Waiting to Explode” and the Internet of the pressing need to accelerate explosive ordnance disposal in Laos.
Directors
Yosh Yamanaka is the founder and CEO of UXO Clearance Laos. He has had careers as an educator, attorney, and administrative law judge. Yosh has served on numerous non-profit boards such as Pacifica Foundation and Dharma Heritage Foundation. He devotes much of his time and energy to alleviating the UXO problem in Laos.
LaDonna Wallace serves as the CFO and Secretary of our public benefit corporation. She is an avid environmentalist and has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and Mt. Whitney. LaDonna has a particular interest in women’s issues and seeing that the arts and handicrafts of the diverse native cultures of Laos flourish.
June Pulcini lived in Laos 1965 – 1970 working with International Voluntary Services (IVS) and in Cambodia & Viet Nam 1963-65. She has been an educator, business executive, board member and advisor for IVS, Asia Resource Center (ARC), and numerous NGOs. She returned to Laos with her daughter on an ARC tour in 1986 and learned about our massive bombing during those years of “neutrality.” June has continued learning about “bombies” and has worked to alleviate the poverty and suffering caused by those explosives.
